10K Run, 5K Run, 5K Walk, 1 Mile Fun Run, Tot Trot
All events start/finish at Michigan CardioVascular Institute (MCVI). The USATF-certified courses run along the Saginaw River on a paved trail that travels behind the YMCA, through Ojibway Island and for the 10K runners, a turn-around at Wicks Park. One water station is available on 5K course and 2 on 10K course. Restrooms available at start.
Early registration ends August 25, 2010. Entries must be received/postmarked by this date to be eligible for early entry fee and a guaranteed t-shirt or moisture-wicking shirt. After August 25, add $5 to registration fee.
Late registration is available at MCVI on Friday, September 10th, 4 – 7 PM or on race day from 6:45 – 7:30 AM. LATE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 7:30 AM ON RACE DAY.
Packet pick up is available at MCVI on Friday, September 10th, 4 – 7 PM or the morning of the race 6:45 – 7:45 AM.
Prizes: $50 gift certificate to Runners: Performance Footwear and Apparel and a pair of Brooks running shoes store for male & female overall and masters division winners (no duplicate awards). Awards also for top 3 runners in each division (overall and masters winners not eligible). Children 13 and under: $25 savings bond for youngest 5K run finisher (male and female) and overall 5K run winner (male and female).
1 Mile Fun Run and Tot Trot: Not ready for a 5K? Then the 1 Mile Fun Run, sponsored by the Saginaw Community Runners Club, is the place for you! This free race is open to all, but registration is required. At 100 meters, the Tot Trot is the perfect distance for younger runners (must be under 7). All Tot Trot finishers will receive a medal.
